Hi. I'm John Eggers. I have over 35 years of professional experience as an engineer, producer, writer and musician. I am a Certified Recording Engineer (Omega School of Recording Arts & Sciences in Rockville, MD) I relocated to the Lowcountry at the end of 2022 and recently got up-and-running in Huger. The Music Room is my personal studio and is designed to be a comfortable and inspiring refuge for musicians and writers to create great music together. I grew up in a musical family and we had a music room. Lessons were taken and given; my first band rehearsed there. Everyone in the family played an instrument. It was special.

John recorded, mixed, and mastered our single “Every Brick” in December 2024 at The Music Room. I use Universal Audio's revolutionary API Vision Console extension integrated with the Studer A-800 multi-track and Ampex ATR-102 master tape recorders.This rig sounds wonderful and has a very intuitive workflow.
I still use Pro Tools for certain things, but for me, the API/Studer/Ampex rig is where it is at. Be inspired by some cool analog gear and a robust toolbox of plugins from Auturia, Soundtoys, Sonnox, Waves, UAD, Melodyne, ToonTrack, UVI, etc.
Big enough for a full band, there are two main rooms- the Red Room and the Green Room. There are two closets for amp iso and case storage. The studio is in Huger, SC on the edge of Marion National Forest, only 20 minutes from Mt. Pleasant.
The Red Room is the larger of the two rooms. It is the mixing room and secondary tracking room. This view is from the hallway where the bathroom and main storage closet are.
The Green Room is the smaller and more reflective of the two rooms and is the main tracking room. It has moveable acoustic wall panels and a gobo. There is a modest assortment of guitars and amps and pedals and things. Nothing too fancy. A box of crayons.

Introductory rates for 2025 are $40hr, 4 hour minimum.
Producing or co-producing your music at the highest level we can together is my goal. If you are not happy, I will not charge you.
